To be truly International, you need not only to accept cultural differences, but to embrace them as well. It is important to look for global design excellence with a true understanding of the place where our work will be implemented. With multicultural designers in all of our offices, Jose has contributed to create designs that represent this philosophy. Jose has been with DiLeonardo since 1997 and has traveled/lived overseas extensively, from Site Designer in Malta, to projects in Greece. He was involved in the development of our Dubai office in 2004 and later, from 2005, moved to Hong Kong where he is currently a Principal / Studio Director. He implements our Design standards, oversees all projects in the Asian Pacific region, and assures communication is fluid between all parties. Jose received his degree in Architecture from Universidad de Los Andes, in Bogota, Colombia, and his Interior Design and Autocad Education from Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI. He is a LEED Green Associate and is fluent in English and Spanish. He has been an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), has been a lecturer at the Project Directors Forum 2006 event, in Dubai, and has also been invited to participate in HOTEC Asia 2007 in Bali and Hidesign Asia 2009 in Malaysia. You don’t see him dancing very often, but his iPod is full of Colombian and Latin American music. Food, friends and family are the things he most misses from his native Colombia. |
