Designers were charged with updating the design of the hotel to reflect the modern city that is Plano. Born from the movement of the farming industry, Plano evolved into an urban city that is now home to tech and motor companies. As the Spanish name suggests, Plano's terrain is flat and unvaried. The line and geometry of the flat topography help shape the culture and activities. Designers drew inspiration from the juxtaposition of the corporate lifestyle, rustic geography, and local culture. Modern finishes and a neutral color palette are contrasted with warm-toned wood and stone accents. In the guestrooms, locally inspired art pieces add warmth and texture to the simplistic rooms.
