Cambria Washington, D.C. Capitol Riverfront

Washington, D.C.

The Capitol Riverfront neighborhood has a strong sense of community, art, and culture. It was important that the Cambria Hotel embrace and reflect that in its design. To pay homage to the history of the building, our designers looked for opportunities to preserve artifacts from the row house previously located on-site. Above the reception desk, an original corniche is displayed within a glass enclosure, providing a nod to the rowhouse architecture. Along the reception wall, a graphic map of the city mimics a pin board and is used to display points of interest around the area. LED panels surround the elevator lobby, displaying images, videos, or upcoming events, providing a custom welcoming guest experience. Well-appointed guestrooms and suites, reflect the locale and its style with its graphic wallcovering and witty decorative pillow. The Restaurants are industrial and modern in design and offer fresh, locally-inspired flavors. An original fireplace artifact detail is found behind the Rooftop Bar. The Rooftop terrace offers comfortable and flexible outdoor seating, inviting guests to lounge and enjoy a drink by the firepits. Spectacular views of the surrounding sports stadiums, capital building and riverfront contribute to the overall inclusive experience.
